Refurbished iPhone 8 in 2026: battery, apps and buying checks
A compact iPhone with Touch ID, but an older software platform. Check app support, network compatibility and storage before choosing.
Updated 22 October 2026 · Reloopo Guides
The iPhone 8 may appeal if you want a compact phone with a Home button and Touch ID. Its age also matters. Before choosing one, make sure the apps and services you depend on still support it. A low purchase price is only useful if the device can do the job you need.
What you are choosing
Apple’s specifications list a 4.7-inch display, an A11 Bionic chip, Touch ID, a 12MP rear camera and a Lightning connector. The iPhone 8 uses 4G/LTE rather than 5G. Its small size and physical Home button may suit some users, while others will prefer a larger screen and newer hardware.
Check the capacities and colours currently available on Reloopo’s product page. Compare storage with what you use today, including photos and downloaded apps. Do not assume that cloud storage removes every need for local space.
Check app support before ordering
iPhone 8 is compatible with iOS 16. It is an older software platform and cannot run newer major iOS versions. Check the current requirements of your banking, messaging, school, work and authentication apps with their developers. Do not assume an app that works today will support the same software indefinitely.
If those apps are essential or you want a device for several years of changing software requirements, compare newer models before committing. We do not promise future app compatibility or a particular end date for security updates.
Confirm your mobile network
Check carrier compatibility for the exact device, including the services you need on your plan. Unlocked does not mean every network feature works with every carrier. Ask Reloopo before ordering if you need a particular SIM arrangement; do not assume that iPhone 8 has the same eSIM features as newer iPhones.
Compare condition, battery and accessories
The current Reloopo iPhone 8 is fitted with a new third-party replacement battery by Reloopo. The battery is not manufactured by Apple. Do not substitute the standard 80%, 90% and 95% grade minimums for this product-specific disclosure. The condition grade also describes cosmetic wear. Product photos show the model and colour rather than your individual unit.
The listed 64GB iPhone 8 includes a Lightning to USB-A charging cable and a UK three-pin USB power adapter. The accessories are not advertised as Apple-original; check whether the plug is suitable for your destination. A 12-month warranty and 30-day free returns apply under the published policies.
Use the current local price
This guide does not quote a fixed price or currency because available combinations and markets differ. Select your delivery country, open the product page and compare the current price, availability, delivery options and checkout total. If iPhone 8 does not meet your app or network needs, explore the wider collection rather than choosing it on price alone.
A clear go-or-no-go decision
Consider iPhone 8 only if the apps you need support iOS 16, its 64GB storage is enough and its 4G nano-SIM configuration works with your carrier. A new replacement battery does not add newer software compatibility, 5G or eSIM.
If you need current app features, a larger screen or a different SIM arrangement, compare iPhone 13, 14 and 15 and check the regional model before ordering. Keep the battery and software decisions separate.
