Battery health helps you compare a refurbished device, but it cannot predict your exact daily runtime. Start with the battery commitment for the selected product, then compare your time away from a charger, the model and the price difference between options.
Health, charge and charging limits are different
Battery health describes capacity relative to when the battery was new. The charge percentage tells you how full it is now. A charge limit is a setting that may deliberately stop charging before 100%. These numbers answer different questions: a phone charged to 80% is not necessarily a phone with 80% battery health.
Capacity changes as batteries age. Apps, brightness, signal strength, temperature and usage affect how quickly charge is used. Two different models at the same health percentage do not necessarily run for the same number of hours. Apple explains these distinctions in its battery and charging guidance below.
Understand Reloopo’s standard grade minimums
| Grade | Standard minimum | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Acceptable | At least 80% | A minimum, not an 80–89% range. |
| Good | At least 90% | A minimum, not a promise of exactly 90%. |
| Excellent | At least 95% | A minimum, not necessarily a newly installed battery. |
Use these figures where the selected product states the standard grade policy. Always read product-specific disclosures. The current Reloopo iPhone 8 is an explicit exception: it has a new third-party replacement battery fitted by Reloopo, not a battery manufactured by Apple.
About the cover: Standard grade minimums where stated on the listing. This diagram is not a test result for an individual device; product-specific battery disclosures apply.
Choose for your charging routine
If you spend most of the day at a desk with charging available, a lower minimum may fit your needs at a lower purchase price. If you commute, navigate or make calls away from power for long periods, compare a higher battery minimum on the same model. Also consider the model’s battery characteristics and your access to charging.
For a fair comparison, keep the model and storage the same. Compare the cost of moving from Good to Excellent against the value you place on the higher minimum and cleaner appearance. Do not assume that an Excellent smaller phone will outlast a larger phone simply because its percentage is higher.
Battery origin is a separate question
“Genuine Apple”, “replacement” and “new” are not interchangeable descriptions. A battery described as genuine is not automatically new, while a newly fitted replacement is not automatically made by Apple. Ask what is installed in the specific product you intend to buy. The current iPhone 8 battery disclosure is different from an Apple-original battery claim.
Likewise, a photograph of a sealed-looking box cannot establish the battery’s origin, capacity or condition. We have not treated stock photographs as battery diagnostics or supplied invented measurement screenshots.
What to check after delivery
- Confirm the supplied model and the battery commitment recorded with your order.
- Where supported, review the battery-health information in Settings. Menu availability varies by model and software, especially on iPad.
- Check charging and use the apps that matter to you. Note unusual behaviour rather than comparing one short session with somebody else’s runtime.
- If the displayed information or behaviour concerns you, contact support@reloopo.com with your order number and a description. Share device identifiers only through a private support channel.
Questions before you buy
Does 95% health mean 95% of a day’s battery life?
No. It is a capacity measurement, not a daily runtime score.
Does Excellent guarantee 100% battery health?
No. Where the standard policy applies, Excellent guarantees a minimum of 95%. Read any different battery specification on the product page.
Is a missing battery-health menu proof of a problem?
No. Supported menus differ. Ask how battery condition is assessed for that model if the information is not available in Settings.
Read the condition comparison, warranty coverage and current product options.
